Top bike with a simple suspension system, so easy to maintain. As with lee, i've not riden one but the magazines seem to love them, although not as much as they used too. I did come close to buyinging one. I would imagine that it rides similar to an Orange 5, and it is suposed to be a very good all round trail bike.
How hard can it be?

When I bought my Enduro the guys in Evans were banging on about the Commencal and how good it is.
Personally I don’t like the single arm on the rear triangle but that’s just me…. Some people don’t like a shit brown Enduro!!
If at first you don’t succeed, sky diving isn’t for you!!

We to start with I have to say that Commencal Meta 5.5 Limited 2010 is a very nice bike with all the basics you need for our type of riding, 140mm travel plus a good level of kit that should last you a few years hard ridding.

I can only go by reviews on the web as I have never ridden one of these, but it seems to get 4 out 5 on must sites. So it should a good all rounder. This seems to get point for being better at downhill then up but this is not a bad thing as you are quite a lite weight then give it a few more months and you will be able to make it fly on the ups as well.

Looks a good all rounder that should last you well, also and this is just me. Also I like to have something a bit different than the run of the mill specialized bike and you do not see many of these on the trails.

If you can see if you can get a demo, even if it a lower model, you might not like the position so worth trying first if you can.

cheers
lee
If at first you dont succeed, spend 6 hrs in casualty, then try again !!!
