Anyone know what year manufacturers changed the sizes? old medium = new large?

The size thing with downhill bikes is a bit of a pain, as they base the sizing around chain stay length as well as top tube length. The longer the CS the more stable the back end is over rough stuff the shorter the more manoeuvrable it is. Some people prefer to have a small feeling bike under them as they can chuck it about easier. My Giant Glory is a 2007 Justin has the new one which is a 2010, they are both large frames but his feels smaller than mine and that is the same bike from the same bike manufacture. Having waffled through all that I would say a S or M is fine for you, the only thing I can suggest before you buy is to come out when we are out on the DH bikes and you can sit/ride around on them and see what you think. At the end of the day they are not designed to be pedalled that much :banghead

Nathan both bikes posted are small.

I think I'll need a Medium. Not sure how much difference there is from a Medium to a Small/Medium or Medium to a Medium/Large.
