Ye I found the same with a spare chainset I had (to small) I think that all new DH bikes have the 83mm BB. You should be able to get a second hand Saint for not a lot.
If at first you dont succeed, spend 6 hrs in casualty, then try again !!!

Hi a small snag last night building up the rocky. It useds a 83mm bb and crank, the old bighit was 73mm. So looks like i'm on the lookout for a new crank now :(
How hard can it be?

Nice one. I look forward to it. We just need some dry weather so we can get the big rigs out again.

I did go for the rocky. I did a lot of research and it seemed to fit all my requirements.

Its got modern geo. being low and slack. It is also strong, the only down side is it's quite a heavy frame, but I preferred it to be strong and long lasting.

I'm in the middle of building it up, just waiting for the new rear wheel to arrive, hopefullty some time this week.

As for pics, you'll just have to wait and see.

As I now have a new DH frame, I shall be selling my Bighit frame. It's going on pinkbike tonight for £300 to see if I get any interest, but obviously would sell for less to a club member. Anyone interested?

Its a 2007 Bighit 3 medium frame, with a fox dhx4 shock. It rides really well and will come with a headset.

Cheers

Glyn
