I did have an iphone but the GPS killed the battery - HTC is worse still.... Just fancy the HR monitor too to see how fitness is improving. It does have 1:50000 mapping for UK and Europe but not sure how much use this is for rides really unless you are on the roads. 1:25000 would be much better. I looked at the price of maps but seem to be 1:50000 still and £100 ish... WOW

Thanks though Lee

I think these devices do both no mater which you choice, have a look at how much the maps are. I had a Garmin ( cant remember what model it was now) but the maps were extra and were not cheap.

But there are good if you like to keep track of how far you have been and the route you have taken. Do you have an Iphone ? there are Apps for free that do the same so make sure you are not paying the same as a good Iphone.

cheers

Garmin Edge 800 Enduro Pack looks the best option - but there is also a Trails version. I will be using it on my road bike too, so would this the Garmin Edge 800 Enduro Pack do the job of off road and on road please?

Thanks :y
