Remember a Ti spring does not have to be the same length to get the same travel as there as less coils in the way. It was shorter that the Steel spring I swapped it for as well. It is not always about the spring length but the amount of compression/travel it can compress though.

On my rear shock it was shorter once fitted but the bikes rear end traveled though the same amount of travel with that spring.
If at first you dont succeed, spend 6 hrs in casualty, then try again !!!

The spring is too short. I've done some digging on the net and I think that at most it has 2.75inch stroke
The spring is 150mm (6 inch) long, and looking at most manufacturers web sites a 6inch length shock can have upto a maximum of 2.75 inch stroke, probably only 2.5.

All 3inch stroke spring are a fair bit longer in lentgh, usually around 162mm.
How hard can it be?

sure no problem.

Also I think we should meet in the normal Leigh Woods Car park as the one we park when we do an evening ride might be very busy as it is a weekend.
