Sounds like an excellent idea. I was only thinking the same thing last week. I also think we should do a local ride but with the Nova & yer tiz banned. Personally I don't care how muddy or slippery it is.

I don't really know any old school rides but wouldn't mind an XC ride at Leckhampton with a bit of exploring.

Wierdly enough when I typed Leckhampton Quarry into google it came up with a picture of SatNav ! :-)

- The secret to mountain biking is pretty simple. The slower you go the more likely it is you’ll crash.
- No one gets hurt in the air
- There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.

Yesterday we were Sat drininkg Tea (the most important part of ANY ride) and we were discussing we need to start doing some old style rides again. by |Ole Sytle I mean where there is NO trail center, NO man made trails. So we would have to find a route in MBR or online and go and ride it, we would need to take all our food and drink with us and we just go off and ride for a few hours and have no idea what we might find around the next corner.

Glyn say about Exmoor or even Dartmoor. Yesrs ago me and Marcus did a killer loop around the Welsh mountians but that envolved carrying your bike up and steep rocky hill for a mile, so we will leave that one for now.

But I am sure you get the idea, so do you have / or have you seen a trail that you want to do ? We are open to any input at this point.

cheers
