Ye it was an ok ride. It stopped raining as I pulled in to the car park so the ride was dry from a rain point of view. The man made tails held up well with some puddles here and there but because there was so much rain there was little mud on the trails.

The old school stuff over the stream and the steep down tot he path as not bad at all. Dont get me wrong it was wet, but from the trail and not the sky. As Paul said there was no chance of getting board as you would have been off if you did not keep very focused.

Good ride seeing how the day started.

Cool, sounds good.

From what I could see the trail was fully open. The only new section I noticed was leading from the car park to the start of the trail. It's quite similar to the run down from lw to north road. Other than that there may have been changes but I'm not very familiar with the trail so I may not have noticed them. It was fast and flowy though
There had better be some downhill after this climb...

Well, after battling through the blizzard to get there, it had pretty much stopped snowing/sleeting/raining by the time we got riding.

It was sopping wet, muddy and slippy as hell - I loved it! Gotta say, apart from it being a bit chilly I think I prefer riding LW when it's like that as it makes it much more challenging, especially the off piste stuff. Really need to concentrate and even though might be riding a bit slower, get a much more out of it I reckon.

Afan sounds awesome. How was The Wall - fully open now? New sections good?
